Rs 5,301-crore Vadhvan breakwater to shield mega port in Maharashtra, boost India's maritime ambitions

Afcons Infrastructure secured a Rs 5,301-crore contract to build a 10.14-km breakwater for Vadhvan Port, set to be the world's second-longest. This crucial marine structure will protect the upcoming deep-draft port from rough seas, enabling it to become one of the world's largest container ports with a 23.2 million TEUs handling capacity, boosting India's maritime trade.
