It’s been part of Calgary for more than a decade and this restaurant isn’t going anywhere, in fact one might say it’s gotten quite the facelift with newcomer chef Jamie Harling. This bistro style restaurant is located in the historic Cross House in Inglewood, making for a beautiful setting. One unique thing we have to point out is the luscious garden that grows just 100 steps from the kitchen, and provides much of the ingredients for the plates served. There are a total of four spaces to eat in this historic space, the dining room, the parlor, atrium and outside on the patio surrounded by beautiful gardens and herbs. Expect the food to be colorful, textural, nutritional and delicious as those are the key factors when these chefs turn their food into art. Expect dishes such as lamb loin with root vegetables and herbed gnocchi or seared greens, egg and ham duck breast with fermented squash. If you wanted something a little different, it is here you should head.
