Exclusive - Yuvika Choudhary on doing 'The 50' with Prince Narula and being away from Ekleen: Our biggest concern was our daughter and how she would manage
Actress Yuvika Choudhary, who has resumed work after becoming a mother with her upcoming reality show The 50, recently opened up about the difficult choice of staying away from her daughter, Ekleen. During an exclusive chat with Times of India TV, Yuvika spoke about participating in 'The 50' with husband Prince Narula and her strategy to survive in the show.
First thought before taking up the show
The first thought was that this is something special for our fans, and we wanted to give something back to them. At the same time, it was a format that had never happened before and would be completed in a very short time. Our biggest concern was our daughter and how she would manage while we were away. Once that was sorted, we felt confident and ready. We knew this was the right moment to give our fans a special gift.
On entering as a couple
It really depends on how you choose to see it, you can turn it into an advantage or a disadvantage. I believe we both have our own individual games. Even though we’re together, we’ll stand by each other when needed, and when it’s important to play independently, we’ll do that too while maintaining our own identities.
Planning and strategy
Honestly, there’s no planning at all. I don’t have any close friends going into the show, so for me it’s a completely fresh start. I’ll enter the game, observe how things unfold, and take it one step at a time. This journey is about my individuality, and I want to follow my own path. If needed, I’ll discuss things with him during the show itself and decide in the moment.
How does she plan to handle the disagreements with husband Prince?
I plan to go with the flow and stay completely natural. Whatever I feel in the moment will come out honestly. If I’m emotional, that side will be visible. If I feel curious or unsure, that will show too. And when I feel strong, people will see that strength as well. My reactions will always depend on the situation. There may be moments when I get emotional and can’t hold back my tears, and there will also be times when I feel the need to stand my ground, and no one will be able to stop me then. One comforting thing is that my partner is there with me through it all, and for that, I’m truly grateful.
