Hansika Motwani, who is loved for her role in Shakalaka Boom Boom, recently opened up about her personal and professional life. In a podcast with Hauterrfly, she spoke about her journey in the television industry, her experience working with Shah Rukh Khan, Allu Arjun, and much more. Here’s a look at what you need to know:

Hansika Motwani recalled her childhood as an actor and what it was like. She said, “The best part was that I saw the industry when magazines were still big, and now we’ve gone digital. I was very fortunate that I met really nice people. And at that time, TV was very big your TV soaps and shows like Shakalaka Boom Boom. For me, it did really well and got me good exposure. And I was lucky to be surrounded by good people.”

The actress said, “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi had its leap, we did the photoshoot, and then the whole cast was on the front page of The Times of India. Then Shakalaka Boom Boom happened, another film happened, and things just kept happening. Then my mom was like, if this is her path, I should support her. After school, I used to go for shoots that was very well managed. Like I said, people knew her school ends and then she’ll come, so the working hours worked for me. And my mom was very sure that I shouldn’t overexert myself that she was very clear about.”

Addressing her divorce, she said, “See, like I said before, you know, as actors, you have to take everything with a pinch of salt. So it’s okay if you’re appreciating me, you’ll have a point of view on me as well. So it’s okay, no problem. The more I’m in the limelight, the more people will talk about me too.”

Hansika recalled her bond with Smriti Irani while shooting for Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. The actress said, “She was always the one giving us experience and learning. She used to say, ‘Read the newspaper.’ I still remember that. Yeah, and once she shared her experiences how she came into a situation where she became Smriti Irani before acting. It was always nice. She was very warm that’s what I remember.”

Talking about her experience working with Allu Arjun, she said, “In his films, he’s like Aamir Khan, that’s what someone had told me. Yeah, and it was great working with him. When the film was offered to me, I liked the script and I became a mainstream actress. Like, are you calling him after Pushpa 2: The Rule or not that’s the question I’ll ask. Yeah, we spoke. He said, ‘Bunny killed it.’ I was like, thanks. He’s very sweet, we still talk a lot. He’s my first co-star. I learned a lot of things from him, and he’s always going to be very dear.”

Hansika revealed how she earned her first salary of Rs 6,000 from an advertisement with Shah Rukh Khan. She shared that it was a special moment for her as a young artist, marking the beginning of her journey in the industry. Working alongside such a big star at the start of her career was both exciting and inspiring, and it gave her confidence to pursue acting seriously. She also hinted that this early experience helped shape her understanding of professionalism and dedication from a very young age.

Hansika opened up about how love is a beautiful feeling for her, and she has left it to the universe to guide her. She said, “For me, it’s beautiful. I believe in love, love is beautiful. And right now, I don’t know. When the time is right, I think the universe will guide me.”
