Rise and Fall: Akriti Negi and Nayandeep Rakshit get into a massive fight; he says, “At least maine kisiko middle finger nahi dikhaya”

The reality show Rise and Fall, hosted by Ashneer Grover, has been gaining attention since its premiere. Known for its unique Rulers vs Workers format, the show has given the audience plenty of drama, heated clashes, and surprising friendships. As the show moves into its final weeks, the competition is only getting tougher, and so are the fights inside the house.

In a recent promo, contestants Nayandeep Rakshit and Akriti Negi got into a heated argument, where Akriti called Nayandeep “Dogla” (two-faced).

The promo begins with Akriti saying, “Aap aadhe ghante pehle unko kuch aur bol rahe ho, phir aap kuch aur bol rahe ho. Toh woh actually mein bohot bada doglapan hai mere hisab se.” (Half an hour ago you were saying something else to them, and now you are saying something different. That, according to me, is a big sign of being two-faced.)

Nayandeep immediately denied her allegations and replied, “Maine impulsive hoke apna doglapan lagaya. Main stage se walk off nahi kar gaya, kisiko middle finger nahi dikhaya. It’s not the same.” (Yes, I may have reacted impulsively, but I didn’t walk off the stage or show anyone the middle finger. It’s not the same thing.)

This only intensified the fight. Akriti said, “Aap har baat par roh nahi sakte Nayandeep.” (You can’t cry over everything, Nayandeep.) To this, Nayandeep countered, “Oh my God, kaun bol rahi hai jo iss show pe sabse zyada royi hai.” (Oh my God, look who’s talking – the one who has cried the most on this show.)

The argument continued as Akriti accused him of sitting around sad, “Aap hamesha aise baithe rehte ho Nayandeep.” (You’re always just sitting around like this, Nayandeep.)

Nayandeep quickly questioned her, asking why that bothered her. Akriti replied, “Aapko bhi meri problem problem lagi toh mujhe bhi aapki problem problem lagi.” (If you find my problem a problem, then I’ll also find your problem a problem.) She then added, “Maine bola aap pareshan rehte ho.” (I just said that you are always troubled.)

Nayandeep corrected her and turned to the Rulers for support, saying, “Abhi bola roh rahe the. Bola ki nahi Rulers? Please tell me.” (Didn’t she just say I was crying? Tell me, Rulers, am I wrong?) The Rulers agreed with Nayandeep, leaving Akriti cornered in the argument.

Fans’ reaction

Fans of the show took to social media to react to the clash. Many sided with Nayandeep, praising him for staying composed, while others supported Akriti, saying she was justified in calling out inconsistencies. Comments included, “Finally someone called him out!” and “Akriti isn’t afraid to speak her mind, love it!”

Rise and Fall premiered on September 6 and runs for a total of 42 days. The format divides contestants into two groups Rulers, who enjoy all luxuries, and Workers, who live with limited resources. Power shifts between the two groups depending on tasks, strategies, and popularity among contestants.

The show currently features well-known faces like Arjun Bijlani, Arbaz Patel, Dhanashree Verma, Nayandeep Rakshit, Aditya Narayan, Kiku Sharda, Kubbra Sait, Akriti Negi, Aarush Bhola, and Manisha Rani. With just a few weeks left, the race to the finale promises even more drama within contestants.
