The latest episode of 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' had a little bit of everything - some laughs, some tension, and those quiet moments between Arman and Abhira that just keep finding a way to surface no matter how hard both of them try to push them down. Things kick off on a really sweet note with Madhav sitting down to apply mehendi on Abhira's hand. Now, Abhira is not the type to stay quiet, and the moment she gets a look at what he is drawing, she bursts out, saying it looks like something a child scribbled. Madhav does not have it, though, and fires back that it is actually a trending design. Tanya, loyal as ever, jumps in and takes his side. It is exactly the kind of easy, warm banter that makes you smile before you even realize the episode is about to get a whole lot more complicated.
The idol making and a visit to Disha's family
Kaveri asks Arman to personally go and invite Disha's family for the Gangaur celebration. Manisha is confident that Disha will make the perfect idol the next day, which pushes Kajal to nudge Tanya into competing with her. Madhav, not one to be left behind, declares that Abhira will make the best idol of all. But Abhira is having none of it. She flatly refuses and even pokes fun at the whole ritual, which makes Manisha nervous.
She warns Abhira that if she does not participate, Damyanti will create a scene and could even threaten to call the wedding off. Abhira shrugs it off, saying the truth is going to come out after Gangaur anyway, so why not just let it happen now? Manisha stands firm and tells her that Damyanti will not let the puja happen peacefully if she does not cooperate. It is finally Kaveri who manages to bring Abhira around, appealing to her in the name of God. Vidya watches all of this and is clearly not pleased.
Arman and Abhira save face together
Arman heads to Disha's family alone to deliver the invitation, and Damyanti immediately notices that he came without Abhira. She takes it as an insult and starts questioning whether everything is alright between them. Just when things are about to get awkward, Abhira walks in at exactly the right moment and saves the situation. Damyanti turns to her and asks why she is late. Abhira explains calmly that Arman had asked her to come along, but she was busy sorting things at home. Damyanti then catches the inconsistency and tells her that Arman had said he stopped Abhira from coming. She looks at both of them and pointedly asks if they even communicate with each other. Arman and Abhira exchange a glance and spin a convincing story together to smooth things over. Just when it seems like they are in the clear, Disha's mother brings up the stole they had gifted Abhira. Abhira admits she forgot it in the rush. Disha's mother then asks Arman to make Abhira wear bangles, explaining that it is a ritual where if a husband puts bangles on his wife's wrists without a single one breaking, their bond will remain strong for seven lifetimes.
The ritual, the video, and Vidya's growing irritation
Arman and Abhira perform the bangle ritual, and somewhere in that quiet moment, something feels real even if neither of them says it. Disha, watching from a distance, records the moment and sends the video to Aryan. Vidya sees it and is immediately triggered. Aryan tries to calm her down, telling her that fate is clearly pulling Arman and Abhira together and that they should stop resisting it. Vidya is stunned into silence.
The celebration at the Poddar house
Disha's family arrives at the Poddar house and is welcomed warmly by Abhira, Manisha, Kajal, and Tanya. The house fills up with music, and everyone starts dancing. Kaveri pulls Arman onto the dance floor, too. In the middle of it all, Arman quietly asks Abhira how she knew he needed her to convince Disha's family. Abhira tells him Disha passed it to Aryan, who then told her. Arman, being Arman, cannot just let it go and says he would have managed fine without her. Abhira smiles and tells him it does not matter since the whole drama will be over in a few hours anyway.
Vidya stands at the side watching Arman and Abhira dance together, and it is clearly getting under her skin. Tanya, completely oblivious to the tension, praises what a wonderful pair they make, which only irritates Vidya further. The evening takes another interesting turn when Meher nearly loses her balance, and Arman instinctively catches her. Damyanti asks who Meher is. Abhira steps in and introduces her as Arman's business partner. Meher smiles and says she has known the Poddars for eight years. Abhira does not miss a beat and says she has known them for eighteen years. Meher then adds with a certain confidence that she is also Arman's secret keeper. The comment does not sit well with Abhira at all. Arman turns to Meher and asks her why she even came, since she has never been fond of traditional festivals. Meher simply says she felt like it.
Precap
During the Gangaur celebrations, a wardrobe nearly falls on Abhira, and Arman is shaken. He asks her how she can still be worrying about him when she almost got hurt. Abhira tells him quietly that if the wardrobe had fallen on her, he would have been free from the redevelopment mess and all the lies to Disha's family, since he already hates her. Arman stops her right there and asks her if she really believes he hates her. And then, in a moment that leaves Abhira completely stunned, Arman confesses that he loves her. What happens next?
