Ajinkya Nanaware and Shivani Surve set to tie the knot soon; latter reveals their parents approved their relationship after four years
Devyani actress Shivani Surve and Saatvya Mulichi Saatvi Mulgi actor Ajinkya Nanaware have been in a relationship for several years, with Shivani recently opening up about their union on a podcast. The couple's love story began in 2015-16 when they crossed paths during the serial 'Tu Jivala Guntavave,' where Ajinkya joined the cast. Although the series concluded after three months, their connection endured.
In a candid revelation during the podcast interview, Shivani shared, "Ajinkya and I met on the sets of the daily soap 'Tu Jivala Guntavave.' He entered the series, and within three months, the series was closed. But then we were not very friendly at that time. I used to say hi-hello. But even after the end of the show, I wanted to know about his life. Then I realized that this is something more. This is how our relationship started."
The couple faced opposition from both of their families when they decided to disclose their relationship in 2017. Families on both sides thought it might be mere attraction and suggested that true love should be demonstrated by staying together. Despite the initial resistance, Shivani emphasized that their commitment stood the test of time, especially during the challenging period of the lockdown.
Shivani shared, "We have been dating since 2015-16. Then in 2017, we informed our families. But there was opposition to the relationship from both houses because they thought it was just attraction. They said if you have true love, show it by staying together. Also, we were together in lockdown. Ajinkya's father had said that you are fighting, you have stayed together in lockdown, now you can stay for the rest of your life. After four years, our families have given permission to our relationship."
In a heartening update, Shivani revealed that she and Ajinkya are now planning to tie the knot soon. She expressed her intention to share this joyous news with her fans, bringing their love story full circle. The couple's journey from a chance meeting on a TV show to overcoming familial opposition highlights the strength of their commitment and love for each other.
