Spanish Protesters Blast Trump As Tensions With US Spike; Anger Over Gaza, Iran, NATO Bases

Anti-war protests swept through Madrid as hundreds of demonstrators took to the streets, demanding an end to the conflict in the Middle East. Organized by the “Stop the War” movement, rallies were held in over 200 locations across Spain, reflecting growing public anger over the ongoing war and its global consequences. Spanish political leaders, including Reyes Maroto, emphasized the need to stand on the “right side of history,” calling for peace while also defending Spain’s commitment to NATO. The demonstrations come amid rising tensions between Washington and Madrid, with reports suggesting the US is considering punitive measures against allies seen as unsupportive of its stance on Iran.
