A video from Christiano Ronaldo's September 2023 tour of Iran is going viral again with the claim that Iran has sentenced Ronaldo to 99 lashes for touching and hugging Fatima Hamimi, a woman painter who’s 85% paralysed. The footballer hugged the painter when she presented him some portraits of Ronaldo made by her. However, the Iranian govt has now responded to the claims of Ronaldo having been sentenced to 99 lashes for touching Fatimi.
