Plagued with low ridership and mounting losses, can Mumbai Monorail be made more useful for commuters

It seems that Mumbai's Monorail has lost its charm among the commuters. The compartments of Monorail are barely occupied. The monorail has a capacity to carry 2 lakh passengers every day and it barely touches a footfall of 10,000. A commuter said," Monorail is a government failure. The monorail stations are located in and around non-residential areas. I spend Rs 60 daily from Chembur to get to the station."
