'Bridgerton' Season 4 trailer: Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek get fans ready for a Cinderella-style Regency romance

The wait for 2026 just got longer with the release of the new 'Bridgerton' Season 4 trailer. The upcoming season will now see Benedict Bridgerton stepping up on the marriage mart and hoping to find himself a wife. The fan favourite character, who stood on the sidelines with his colourful romantic life, will now turn into our brooding, love-struck leading man.After multiple leaks online and early poster releases, the makers gave fans a look at the famed Bridgerton masquerade ball that will set the stage for a fiery new romance between Benedict and Sophie Baek, played by Yerin Ha. Season 4 draws inspiration from 'An Offer from a Gentleman', the third novel in Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton book series. The trailer opens with Lady Violet Bridgerton persuading her son to take a wife and to help him, she hosts a ball. There, Benedict encounters a mysterious "Lady in Silver", who captivates him almost immediately.While Benedict goes out in search of this Lady in Silver, little does he know that the woman of his dreams is the lady's maid right in front of him.Season 4’s official synopsis reads, "In a new tale from the ton, eternal bachelor Benedict Bridgerton finally meets his match: a captivating lady's maid in disguise at a masquerade ball."The trailer was shared with the caption, "Behind the cover of a mask, anything can happen."'Bridgerton' showrunner Jess Brownell says the fourth season of the period drama is going to have chock-full of juicy conflict. Brownell said the show will explore the class dynamics between Benedict and Sophie, bringing a “totally new sensibility” to the series."We talked a lot about going downstairs and how that would affect the overall tone of the show and I think, actually, it seamlessly blends into the themes that we were trying to explore this season. Benedict very much lives in a fantasy world. Sophie very much lives in a harsher reality. The idea is that, for each of them, neither of those stations are where they need to live in order to find true love."Bridgerton Season 4 will arrive in two parts with Part 1 premiering January 29th and Part 2 coming out a week after the Valentine's week, on February 26th.
