Beyonce sued for $200 m for stealing music
HOUSTON: A Fort Worth-based producerand songwriter has filed a $200 million lawsuit, accusing Beyonce Knowles, herfather and fellow members of Destiny''s Child of stealing his music to create thehit R&B tune “Survivor.�Terrence Robinson, 32,claims he created a song, “Glorious,� in June 2000 while working inMiami and, in October later that year, gave it to Music World Entertainment, amusic management company that Mathew Knowles owned untilrecently.Robinson filed the lawsuit in federal court here last week,more than a week after Houston-based Destiny’s Child filed a lawsuitagainst him and his attorney seeking a judgment against his claims to ownershipof the song and money damages for slander and fraud. Robinson names asdefendants in the lawsuit Mathew and Beyonce Knowles and other Destiny’sChild members Kelly Rowland and MichelleWilliams.
