Ganja worth Rs 3.39 lakh set on fire by police in Andhra Pradesh's Kurnool
113kg of ganja worth approximately Rs.3.39 lakh were burnt near the police training college at Dinne Devarapadu village near Kurnool on Sunday.
TIRUPATI: The Kurnool district police wing destroyed 113kg of seized ganja on Sunday. Kurnool additional SP D Prasad and his team told reporters that 67 accused were arrested in connection with 12 ganja smuggling cases registered across various police stations in the district so far.After obtaining the magistrate's permission and relevant proceedings as per the NDPS Act, the 113kg of ganja worth approximately Rs.3.39 lakh were burnt near the police training college at Dinne Devarapadu village near Kurnool on Sunday.Additional SP D Prasad told reporters that special teams were formed to curb the Ganja usage at slums and educational institutions by cracking the whip against the ganja smugglers from time to time.
