Ambadas Danve dismisses rumours of joining Shinde camp
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Shiv Sena (UBT) politician Ambadas Danve ruled out speculation that he was joining Eknath Shinde's camp of Shiv Sena, and claimed Shiv Sena minister Uday Samant was spreading rumours.Samant had said that Danve often criticised his party, but would soon be seen in the Shinde camp. "As all of us have seen, anything can happen in politics. The process of Danve joining us has already started," he said.Danve, a former leader of opposition in the legislative council, debunked Samant's comments. "I was loyal to Shiv Sena for the past three decades and won't join such a gang," Danve said.He said the party honoured him by offering important responsibilities from time to time. "I only pray to God that our party leadership gives me the strength to shoulder such responsibilities," Danve said.Meanwhile, Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut joined the war of words between Samant and Danve. Raut said Samant himself is going to join BJP soon with a bunch of MLAs."Danve is a die-hard Shiv Sainik. He has been in our party for years now. He did not change his party 3-4 times," he said, in a dig at Samant. After the split in Sena, speculations were made multiple times that Danve would join the Shinde camp, but he remained firm with the party.Danve is currently on the back foot after the party's drubbing in municipal corporation polls for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The Sena (UBT) ended up winning only six seats in the house of 115 corporators.
