<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">BANGALORE: The Bangalore international airport project at Devanahalli was on track and the concessions agreement for the same would be finalised by August-end, additional chief secretary (infrastructure) S. Krishna Kumar said on Thursday.<br /><br />Refuting reports of the concessions agreement being rejected by the union finance ministry, Kumar told <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">The Times of India</span>: "We are discussing and redrafting various clauses.
But the reports of the project promoters asking for a say in other airports is completely untrue."<br /><br />Kumar said the major issue that was still under discussion was a concessions fee that the union finance ministry was insisting upon. <br /><br />"The Karnataka government and the project developers said we see no case for such a fee, but according to them there is one. This issue still has to be resolved," he explained.<br /><br />"The next meeting with officials from the Prime Minister''s office is scheduled for next week. We are hoping that these issues will be sorted then," Kumar added.<br /></div> </div>
