Bengaluru: Chaos prevailed at Mugaluru lakebed in Sarjapur, Bengaluru Rural, Saturday morning when residents found a human skull and few bones scattered nearby.
Police, along with a posse of scene of crime officers (SOCO), examined the remains and shifted them to the forensic science laboratory. Other than the skull, police found a jaw, upper limb bones, a torn sari, and women’s footwear from the spot. “The jaw is seperated from the skull and the front five teeths are missing. The missing teeth play a vital role in identifying the body, which we suspect to be of a woman, aged between 25 and 35. Therefore, we are collecting details of missing women of this age group from our state as well as
Tamil Nadu and
Andhra Pradesh,” a senior police officer said.
