15-yr-old girl killed in hit & run in city

Bhopal: A 15-year-old girl died after a car allegedly hit a scooter on which she was travelling with her sister on Raisen Road in Bilkhiria. The 15-year-old girl died in the hospital on Thursday.Police said the incident took place near Chhavani Pathar area, where a car hit the scooter from behind. The victim, Priya Rawat, 15, a resident of Chhavani Pathar in Bilkhiria, was a Class 8 student. Police said on April 7 in the afternoon around 2.30pm, Priya was riding the scooter with her younger sister seated behind her. They were returning to their village from govt PDS outlet in Adampur Chhavani after purchasing wheat when a speeding car hit their scooter from behind.Priya sustained fatal injuries in the accident, while her younger sister escaped unhurt. The accused car driver is yet to be identified.
