Man posing as IAS officer enters MP secretariat, seeks transfer; handed over to family after officials find him mentally unstable

BHOPAL: In secretariat a young man claiming to be an IAS officer met general administration dept officers on Friday and requested for his transfer.While questioning, GAD officers realized he was not an IAS officer. He was handed over to the secretariat’s security and was released after questioning.Officials informed that his family was called and he was handed over to them. He appeared to be mentally unstable. No action has been taken against him. The Secretariat is a high security area. The officers said the youth entered the secretariat after getting a routine pass meant for visitors. He claimed to be posted as an officer in Indore, but officials soon realized his mental state and handed him over to security. His family later confirmed that he was mentally unwell after which he was handed over to his family with a warning.
