Court staff held for accepting bribe

Hisar: One official posted at the Hisar District Court in Haryana was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹1 lakh by the Jhajjar ACB team. The accused has been identified as Head Constable Sunil Kumar, who was working as a naib court official in the court of an Additional District Judge (ADJ), Hisar. According to information, the ACB team laid a trap near the Patwar Bhawan, close to the City Police Station, and apprehended the accused on the spot. Two bundles of ₹500 currency notes, totaling ₹1,00,000 in cash, were recovered from his possession. Preliminary findings suggest that the bribe was being taken in connection with a case related to a dispute or altercation. Following the arrest, the ACB team has begun questioning the accused, and a detailed investigation is underway. Officials said further legal action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigation.
