Hisar: The Hisar Bar Association has completed all arrangements for the welcome ceremony of Chief Justice of India, Justice Surya Kant, scheduled to be held on Jan 9 at the Hisar Court Complex. The event is being described as a landmark moment in the judicial history of Hisar.
District Bar Association Hisar president Sandeep Boora and secretary Sameer Bhatia said that around 50 judges from across Punjab and Haryana will arrive in Hisar, along with Chief Justice Surya Kant, reflecting the presence of the entire judicial fraternity. They said the court and bar complex was elaborately decorated for the occasion. The felicitation ceremony for the Chief Justice of India will be held from 5 pm to 7 pm at a specially arranged venue in the advocates' parking area, where Justice Surya Kant will address members of the Bar. The Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana high court will also be present.

Justice Sheel Nagu. Boora and Bhatia said the occasion holds special emotional and symbolic significance, as Hisar Court was Justice Surya Kant's first place of judicial posting.
