The need of the hour and the Sikh Panth is to change such leadership to pave way for a genuine one to emerge in run up to the forthcoming SGPC general elections. The leadership emerging thereof should work to restore its lost glory, maintain cultural identity and establish sovereignty of the Panth and Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
The IHRO chairperson D S Gill, secretary-general Mohinder Singh Grewal stated that politically motivated leadership has been appointing puppet Akal Takht jathedars to rundown their political opponents and making corrupt committee members and its employees to create lobbies to survive politically.
"We call upon the Sikh Panth in general and all Sikh groups including SAD (Amritsar), SAD (1920), Shiromani Khalsa Dal (Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu), Dal Khalsa and all splinter groups of SAD (Badal) and AISSF, in particular, to get together on a common platform to dislodge the present leadership," said a resolution adopted in the core group meeting of IHRO.
In another resolution, the IHRO has offered its cooperation in achieving this mission of bringing together of like-minded people and groups for fighting SGPC elections.
