Tamil Nadu poll results 2026: This mandate reflects the rising voice of youth which can’t be ignored, Rahul Gandhi says

CHENNAI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday extended his wishes to actor Vijay and his Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) for the TVK becoming the single largest party in the 2026 Tamil Nadu assembly election. Rahul spoke to Vijay over the phone and congratulated Vijay for "TVK’s spectacular result." Rahul posted on X that the result reflected the voice of youth. "This mandate reflects the rising voice of youth which cannot, and will not, be ignored," he stated. While thanking Congress workers of TN and Puducherry for their "hard work and support," Rahul said Congress "will continue to protect and serve the people of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry."
