Chennai: The cybercrime wing of Chennai police on Thursday arrested political commentator Tiruchi Surya Siva, 33, son of DMK MP Tiruchi Siva, based on a complaint lodged by bike racer and BJP sports and skill development cell state secretary Alisha Abdullah for making derogatory remarks aimed at her. Police said efforts are under way to trace YouTuber Mukthar, another YouTuber, who participated in the discussion where the remarks were made.Alisha submitted a complaint to the Chennai city commissioner of police on Wednesday seeking action against Surya Siva and Mukthar for making obscene and derogatory remarks against during a YouTube channel discussion. She said the comments questioned her personal life, tarnished her reputation and included offensive remarks about her newborn twin children. She said the remarks caused mental distress and humiliation to her and her family.Based on the complaint, police registered a case and launched an investigation.
