Three die in separate road accidents in Trichy district

Trichy: Three people died in three separate accidents in Trichy district on Monday.In the first accident that happened at a bus stop near Thiruverumbur, a woman identified as K Kamatchi, 68, was trying to cross the road when a motorcycle hit her. Kamatchi fell and sustained critical head injuries. She later died at a private hospital. Police registered a case of rash and negligent driving against the unknown motorcyclist.In the second, N Gomathi, 36, was riding pillion with her husband, N Nandakumar, 40. Near the toll plaza at Bharathipuram, near Kattuputhur in Trichy, Nandakumar lost control after bumping into a speedbreaker. Gomathi died while being transported to the govt hospital in Namakkal. Nandakumar was booked.In the third, a 33-year-old man, C Saranraj, died after his two-wheeler was hit by a TNSTC bus on the Perambalur to Thuraiyur Road.
