Delhi Police bust sex racket, 3 women including kingpin arrested

NEW DELHI: Delhi police busted a prostitution racket and nabbed three women including the kingpin of the racket on Wednesday.Police said it received secret information on September 10 about the prostitution racket, thriving in the capital.Acting on this information quickly, police formed a raiding team. A police officer posed as a customer and confirmed the location of the illegal activities. Following his signal, a raid was conducted at the premises.Police found a 47-year-old woman, believed to be the ringleader, along with two other women. A case has been filed, and investigations are ongoing.In a separate incident in East Delhi, police recently arrested six people, including three women, at a hotel in South Ganesh Nagar based on another tip-off. According to DCP (East) Amrutha Guguloth, "Investigation revealed that the hotel owner had prior involvement in such illegal activities, which led Municipal Corporation of Delhi to seal his hotel." The hotel had been de-sealed recently and further investigations are in progress.Both cases are registered under relevant sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act (ITP Act).
