Lathi-charge and use of tear gas against farmers is not right. This behaviour of the (Central) government doesn't send the right message. You call them terrorists, lodge cases against them and don't want to talk to them - this has been the government's approach. We are seeing it yet again.
Farmers are facing issues. The promise that was made to double farmers' income - they are not even getting their cost price. The govt is not ready to listen to their grievances and to give the guarantee of MSP.
Haryana police thwarted Sunday a second attempt by protesting farmers to march toward New Delhi, firing tear gas shells, deploying water cannons, and using pepper spray at Punjab-Haryana border near Shambhu.The crackdown left several farmers wounded and prompted Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha to temporarily suspend their march.The confrontation occurred around noon when a second group of 101 farmers from Punjab tried to breach the multi-layered barricades on NH44. The farmers are demanding a legal guarantee for MSP and farm loan waivers.

Defending its action against farmers attempting to cross its barricades on the Shambhu border with Punjab, Hary ana Police on Sunday claimed that its personnel fired teargas shells and water canons to disperse the protesters as they attempted to remove a safety iron mesh by pulling it out with iron rods and ropes. In a statement, Ambala police said as soon as the farmers reached near its barricades, police officers started an announcement to ask the protesters to return as they did not have permission to proceed. Police asked farmers to show their identification while telling them they cannot go further as Section 163 of BNS is imposed in Ambala. Farmers, on the other hand, asked Ambala police officers to show permission to enter Punjab and lay barricades on the road.
