New Delhi: Two firefighters suffered injuries while battling a blaze that broke out in a battery room at a Tata Communications office building in
South Delhi’s Greater Kailash-I early Friday morning.
Delhi Fire Services received a call regarding the fire at 2.47 am, and 11 fire tenders were deployed. During the firefighting efforts, two personnel sustained burn injuries to their hands. The injured firefighters were identified as fire operators Sandeep and Suresh, both attached to the Mathura Road fire station. They were rushed to Safdarjung Hospital for treatment.
Officials said the fire was confined to the room located on the third floor of the building. The fire was doused around 7.05 am. No other injuries or casualties were reported in the incident. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
