Two shooters from the city have won silver medals in the skeet event at the International Shooting Sport Federation World Championship Juniors being held in Changwon, Korea, this week.

GURGAON: Two shooters from the city have won silver medals in the skeet event at the International Shooting Sport Federation World Championship Juniors being held in Changwon, Korea, this week.
Faridabad-based shooter Sanjana Sood (19) has won a silver in the skeet mixed team competition with Harmehar Singh Lally on July 19, the fourth day of the championship, while Raiza Dhillon has won a silver in the individual event on the third day.

Sanjana only took up shooting in 2019, at the age of 15, and became the youngest skeet shooter on the Indian team. Now, she has her sights set on the Junior Asian Championship to be held in October, as she progresses her way towards Olympics 2024. Karnal-born Raiza won her first significant gold medal in 2021.
