Dhubri: District guardian minister Ashok Singhal visited Bhogdanda, a village beyond the fence in the Golokganj sector of the Indo-Bangla border and inspected the area on Thursday.
Singhal first interacted with the villagers in Bhogdanga and heard about their problems.
While addressing a brief meeting at Bhogdanga, Singhal told villagers that all their demands would soon be fulfilled.
“You have raised concerns about smooth road connectivity between Bhogdanga and the rest of the district, about basic amenities, public services, and infrastructure development. All these demands will be fulfilled,” Singhal told the villagers.
Singhal also reviewed border security and management with
BSF officials in a meeting at Lakhimari (Sonahat).
Earlier in the day, Singhal visited the Gurudwara Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji and also offered prayers at Maa Mahamaya Dham, 25-hath Kali Temple at Bogribari. He held a meeting with officials at Dhubri DC Conference Hall to review the progress of ongoing development works in the district.
Later in the evening, he met
BJP workers and urged them to work towards a “viksit Assam”.
