Skull, bones of 1962 martyr' found in Arunachal

Army jawans have recovered the skull and bones of a soldier who is believed to have died fighting the Chinese during the 1962 war near Walong in Arunachal Pradesh's Lohit district.

TINSUKIA: Army jawans have recovered the skull and bones of a soldier who is believed to have died fighting the Chinese during the 1962 war near Walong in Arunachal Pradesh's Lohit district. A silver ring and other belongings of the martyr have also been found. However, an official confirmation is awaited.
"There is a identification disc on the bones and skulls through which the army has been able to identify the soldiers who is said to be posted with the Dogra regiment during the 1962 war," a senior army official said.

However, the name of the soldier has been kept undisclosed till the time of filing of this report.
