BJP MLC H Vishwanath on Wednesday criticised chief minister
Siddaramaiah, describing him as a "political deceiver" and raising concerns over governance, economy and administrative issues.
Speaking to reporters, Vishwanath referred to the circumstances under which Siddaramaiah joined Congress, and accused him of betrayal in political commitments.
Questioning the reported power-sharing arrangement, the MLC said deputy CM DK Shivakumar played a key role in bringing the party to power, and alleged that Siddaramaiah was doing injustice to him despite "a 30-month agreement". He also dismissed claims denying such an arrangement, stating that Basavaraj Rayareddy himself is in the queue for a ministerial post.
Highlighting financial concerns, Vishwanath said the state's total debt has reached about Rs 9 lakh crore, of which Rs 5.5 lakh crore was incurred during the current administration.
Saying that education and health sectors are in decline, Vishwanath criticised the CM's understanding of the National Education Policy, alleging that the govt's approach is adversely affecting students.
