Bank employee’s body found in Ballari stream

Ballari: The body of a 38-yr-old woman employed at Pragathi Krishna Gramin Bank was found in Andral stream in Ballari, police said. The deceased was identified as Anisha Fathima, a resident of Kaul Bazaar in the city. According to police, locals spotted the body entangled in garbage and a wire fence near the stream and alerted authorities.Police suspect the body may have been washed into the stream during the heavy rainfall on Saturday night. However, the condition in which it was found has raised several questions. Investigators are probing the circumstances surrounding the death.Police said Anisha Fathima had attended a party with bank staff on Saturday and reportedly spoke to her husband around 11pm. There was no further contact with her after that.APMC police visited the spot and conducted an inspection, and further investigation is under way.
