Golden jubilee celebration of H-D Bantara Sangha held

Hubballi: Deputy leader of opposition in the assembly and MLA Arvind Bellad said every community should learn from the culture of the Bunts community. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the golden jubilee celebration of Hubballi-Dharwad Bantara Sangha organised here on Sunday, Bellad said the community stood at the forefront in following the ‘work is worship' philosophy. "Hailing from Dakshina Kannada district, the community has made its mark across the country. Sangha was registered in 1974, and elders who migrated to North Karnataka for businesses encouraged their families to move here. The community is now widely spread and well-known in all fields because of their elders, who pushed them to work here," he added. Karnataka Slum Development Board chairman and MLA Prasad Abbayya said the programme is organised akin to Dasara festival. "The community is united, which is their key to success. They maintain cordial relationship with other communities and lend help to the needy," he appreciated. MLC Pradeep Shettar, president of Bunts Sangha Vijayanand Shetty, and others were present.
