Ballari: Another error surfaced in the marks card issued by Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University, raising fresh concerns about the university's evaluation and results system.
In a surprising incident, marks far exceeding the maximum limit were printed on the marks cards of BBA third semester students.

According to students, the BBA course has 7 subjects, each carrying a maximum of 100 marks, making the total maximum score 700. However, several students received marks cards showing totals such as 840, 996, 1080, 1100, and even 1163. These unusual figures left both students and their parents shocked after they collected the marks cards.
The error reportedly appeared in the marks cards of 8 students studying at a private SGT Degree College in Ballari, which comes under the jurisdiction of the university. The printing of marks higher than the maximum permissible score has triggered confusion and concern among students.
This is not the first time that the university is facing embarrassment over such mistakes. Earlier, a mock marks card issued by the university drew attention after it carried the image of Koppal Gavi Mutt's Abhinava Gavisiddeshwara Swamiji along with photographs of film actors.
The latest mistake in the marks card system once again has raised questions about the university's administrative and technical processes.
Reacting to the issue, university evaluation registrar NM Sali said the problem occurred due to a technical error. He clarified that the mistake was identified in the marks cards of 8 students and steps are already being taken to rectify it.
He added that the faulty marks cards will be corrected and reprinted, and fresh copies will be issued to the students concerned very soon.
