Rider burnt alive as bike crashes into bus

Vijayapura: A 19-year-old rider was burnt alive after his motorcycle rammed into a bus at the Kannolli tollgate in Sindagi taluk of Vijayapura district on Tuesday. The motorcycle collided with a Kalyan Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC) bus, following which both vehicles caught fire. The deceased has been identified as Abhishek Sahegoda Nagarahalli. He was trapped after the collision as flames quickly spread to the bus. However, all passengers managed to escape the bus in time, and no one else was injured in the incident. Fire and police personnel rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control. Sindagi police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
