Hyderabad: Telangana Congress president B Mahesh Kumar Goud and MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy on Monday released copies of letters written by irrigation minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy and CM A Revanth Reddy to Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, seeking an appointment to discuss Tummidihatti barrage issue. They slammed BJP state president N Ramchander Rao and other leaders of the saffron party for their comments that Revanth has had not sought an appointment with the Maharashtra CM.“Minister Uttam wrote a letter on May 6, and CM Revanth on May 26 to Devendra Fadnavis. The BJP leaders may not like CM Revanth and the Congress govt but their utter negligence of not even trying to find out whether letters were written to Fadnavis only exposes their hatred against Telangana farmers,” alleged Mahesh Goud.Kiran Kumar Reddy accused the BJP of opposing projects such as metro rail phase-2, the regional ring road and the Musi river rejuvenation, and alleged that BJP leaders were conspiring with BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao to stall development works initiated by the Congress govt. They demanded that the Centre procure all crops covered under the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and questioned why the Centre procured higher quantities of paddy or other crops in Punjab and Haryana compared to Telangana.
