The Iran-Israel conflict has entered a dangerous new phase. A fresh wave of Iranian ballistic missiles targeted multiple locations across Israel, including reported impacts near Dimona — the southern city widely associated with Israel's nuclear program. Dimona is home to the Shimon Peres Negev Nuclear Research Center, a facility long believed to be central to Israel's undeclared nuclear deterrent. Reports suggest several missiles penetrated Israeli air defence layers, with casualties and damage reported in the area. The strikes come in retaliation for Israeli attacks on Iranian radar installations and military infrastructure, raising fears that both sides are now willing to target increasingly sensitive strategic assets. As the conflict expands, concerns are growing that the fighting could move beyond conventional military targets and trigger a wider regional crisis.
