Air show marks Corps of Signals raising day at MCTE
Mhow: Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) marked the 116th Raising Day of Corps of Signals with an air show at its campus on Saturday morning.The show drew a large audience of service personnel and their families. On the occasion, MCTE Commandant Lt Gen Praveen Bakhshi was the chief guest.

The celebrations featured an aerial display by microlight aircraft and gliders, which performed coordinated formations against the backdrop of clear skies. The spectacle was followed by a skydiving demonstration from an altitude of 8,000 feet, adding to the excitement of the occasion.In a special moment that delighted young spectators, microlights released small parachutes carrying chocolates, prompting children to run across the grounds to collect the treats as they floated gently to the ground. The gesture drew loud cheers from the assembled crowd.More than seven microlights and gliders participated in the display, flying at low altitude while carrying National Flag, the MCTE flag, ‘Vande Mataram' banner, and the flag of the Corps of Signals, symbolising the spirit and heritage of the formation.Lt Col Mayank Nagpal executed a precision parachute jump from 8,000 feet, landing to an enthusiastic reception from children and attendees.
