Pvt bus operators call off strike
Jaipur: Private bus operators in Rajasthan Thursday called off their strike after a meeting with Jaipur district collector Jitendra Soni. Rajendra Sharma, president of All Rajasthan Contract Carriage Bus Operators Association, said some demands were agreed upon in the talks and assurances were given that the remaining would be met after the Assembly session concluded. With the private bus operators on strike, 35,000 buses were off-road, affecting public movement ahead of Holi and the Khatushyam fair. Due to the strike, a heavy crowd was noticed at bus terminals like Sindhi Camp and Jaipur railway station for the past 3 days.
