Rs 1.30 L annuityfor Kirti Chakramartyr’s family

Kanpur: The UP govt has sanctioned annuity support for the family of a Kirti Chakra awardee and nine Shaurya Chakra awardees from Kanpur Nagar district recently, according to an official list released by district magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh on Friday.As per the notification, the family of Kirti Chakra awardee martyr Major Avinash Singh Bhadauria will receive ₹1.30 lakh. In addition, annuities of ₹65,000 have been approved for Major Sunil Yadav and family members of martyr Major Salman Ahmad Khan and master warrant officer (HFL) martyr Keshav Nath Upadhyay.Other officers who will receive the support include Col Baburam Kushwaha, Corporal Amar Kumar Vajpai, Lt Abhinav Tripathi, Captain Aditya Prakash Singh, Jai Prakash Sharma and Asit Kuswhaha.The DM said that Rs 7. 15 lakh was approved for Kanpur Nagar district in the financial year 2025-26 under this head.The presence of ten decorated heroes from a single district made Kanpur Nagar one of the few districts in the country where such a wide representation of military honours was seen.
