Aroor: At least 23 persons were injured on Saturday after a KSRTC bus crashed into the rear of a truck near Kochuveli Pillamukku in Eramalloor, Aroor.
The injured were admitted to VPS Lakeshore Hospital in Kochi. Two of them sustained serious injuries.

The accident occurred around 11am on Saturday. The KSRTC bus, carrying 40 passengers, was travelling from Thiruvananthapuram to Palakkad.
Residents, Aroor police, Aroor fire brigade and highway police arrived at the scene and conducted rescue operations.
The injured include bus conductor Madhu (50) and passengers Ashwani (29), Vidya (50), Jincy (41), Suraj (50), Jisha (46), Sini Francis (30), Monichan (63), Lollappan (82), Mukundan (64), Zeena (60), PT Jinimol (40), Mathew Henry (52), Shakuntala (58), Meenakshi (21), Abdul Latheef (46), Kochuthresia (75), Preetha (53), Antony (72), Seenu (53), Ambi (53), Sunil (29) and Geetha (55).
An employee from Lakeshore hospital was also among those on the bus injured.
Most injuries were caused by the impact, with passengers being thrown inside the bus and hitting their faces. Injuries were mainly to the face, neck and chest, with six individuals suffering chest injuries.
Hospital authorities confirmed that all necessary medical examinations were completed and specialised treatment was ensured for everyone.
