An exclusive Ayyappa temple for women?

KOZHIKODE: BJP MP and actor Suresh Gopi said plans are afoot to construct an Ayyappa temple for women in Pathanamthitta .
Speaking after inaugurating Sree Sankara Centre for the aged at Advaitha Ashramam, Kolathur on Monday, Gopi said a formal announcement will be made soon. Both the central and state governments will be urged to allot land for it. “We plan to have the temple near Sabarimala Poongavanam so that we can conceptualize the concept of a forest-dwelling deity,” he said.
He said the panchaloha idol of the deity will be taken on a tour of the country.
