Students and faculty of a well known engineering and management college got back to their roots.
Students and faculty of a well known engineering and management college got back to their roots following a mesmerising recital by none other than, Ustad Mazhar Ali Khan and Ustad Jawwad Ali Khan grandsons of the very revered Lt Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan.
Organised by SPIC-MACAY, the artistes performed to a packed auditorium of over 500 students and 100 teachers. LT spotted the gen-x totally engrossed in the classical music performance and most were seen enjoying it to the hilt as well.
The teachers on the other hand were more than happy that their students were getting the best of both worlds-the traditional and the contemprerory.
Speaking to LT, Munish Malhotra, administrative officer of the college said, The aim was to be zara hat ke when it came to giving our students an edge while preparing them to be not only good professionals but socially responsible citizens aswell. It is important for our youth to know what the culture of our country is too be proud of it so we decided to organise this recital.
So as the maestros doled out one mesmerising number after the other the hall kept resounding with deafening applause of appreciation!
