‘The Silent Exodus’ depicts pangs of displacement
Lucknow: A play, titled ‘The Silent Exodus’, highlighting the pain of displacement and violence, was staged at Bhartendu Natya Akademi’s Raj Bisaria auditorium on Friday.The play revolved around the 1947 Partition and the 1990 exodus of Kashmiri Pandits.The production was written and directed by Aru Vyas, and was performed by second-semester students of BNA.Through captivating performances, it depicted the pain and suffering of families uprooted by violence and political instability.“This play is an attempt to become the voice of all those nameless faces whom history has reduced to mere statistics,” said Vyas.
