Woman's body found locked inside house

LUCKNOW: The decomposed body of a 55-year-old woman was found inside her house at Naubasta Colony in Saadatganj late on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Asha Devi. The woman had been living in the house by herself, after her only son died about a year ago. Her husband had died about two years ago. On Sunday, the neighbours got suspicious when a foul smell started emanating from Asha's house, and they informed the police.
When the police team reached the spot, they found the house locked from outside. The police then broke open the locks, only to find Asha Devi's decomposed body lying inside. Her legs had been tied together. This raised the suspicion of her having being murdered. However, Saadatganj police insisted that whether the woman had been murdered or not would only be confirmed after the post-mortem report is received.
Curiously enough, Sonu, a tenant, who was living with his wife at Asha Devi's house, has been missing for a long time. The police said that the matter was being investigated.
