Gurinder Singh Ghuman appointed as Lokpal Electricity Punjab

PATIALA: Former Member Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC ) Gurinder Singh Ghuman has been appointed as Lokpal Electricity for Punjab state for a period of three years.
A postgraduate in Electrical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, Ghuman has vast experience in commercial, regulatory and quasi-judicial affairs.He served as Member PSERC for five years after working as chief engineer commercial in PSPCL.
His predecessor, Virinder Singh has bowed out of long public service in power sector for 46 years. He was Engineer in Chief, Member PSERC and Lokpal Electricity. He established a record of zero pending appeals in the Court of Lokpal Electricity by deciding 205 appeals worth Rs 66 crore during his 26 months tenure which ended on December 5.
