Punjab teams ready for nat’l basketball championship

Ludhiana: The Basketball Federation of India (BFI) will organise the 75th Senior National Basketball Championship for men and women at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai, from Jan 4-11. In the championship, various teams from across the country will take are part. The Punjab team (men and women) is all set for showcasing their skills and talents in the upcoming national tournament. The selections have been announced and Punjab players are gearing up for the championship.The men's team includes Amayjot Singh Gill, Gurwinder Singh, Anmol Sekhon, Sukhcharan Singh, Jaideep, Harmanjot Singh Cheema, Dilpreet, Anmoldeep Singh, Tajinderbir Singh, Arshjot Singh, Swapnil Sharma, and Harjinder Singh. The head coach for the Punjab men's team is Gurkirpal Singh while Anoop Kumar will be its assistant coach.The women basketball team includes Jagroop Kaur, Anmoldeep Kaur, Kavya, Komal Cheema, Nadar Kaur, Renuka, Komalpreet Kaur, Bhavika Dhir, Chanda Gautam, Kanishka, Bhumika and Nandini. The head coach for women team is Jaspreet Singh and assistant coach is Amandeep Kaur.
