‘Team TN’ will win in fight against ‘Team Delhi’: Udhayanidhi
Dindigul/Madurai: The upcoming election is a clash between ‘Team Delhi' and ‘Team Tamil Nadu,' said deputy chief minister Udhayanidhi Stalin during a party event held in Dindigul on Tuesday.Udhayanidhi participated in the DMK youth wing election consultative meeting for functionaries of the Dindigul and Theni districts. Speaking at the meeting, Udhayanidhi stated that the Tamil Nadu team will certainly emerge victorious in the upcoming election, in an indirect reference to the DMK-led alliance. He noted that AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami was visiting Amit Shah's office in Delhi so frequently that he forgot his own office was in Chennai, describing this as the current state of the AIADMK.He asserted that the AIADMK alliance has neither warranty nor guarantee. He pointed out that in Bihar, the BJP sidelined Nitish Kumar after his victory to seize power through the back door, suggesting that if this is the plight of Nitish Kumar, who served as chief minister 10 times, one should consider the situation of ‘Paatham-thaangi' Palaniswami. He stated that the DMK alliance is recognised by the people, and regardless of how many teams—be it BJP, its ‘B-team,' or ‘C-team'—contest against them, the DMK alliance is the one that will win.
The deputy chief minister later participated in a similar meeting organised in Madurai for Virudhunagar and Madurai district youth wing functionaries.Meanwhile, on Monday night, when he was on the way to Dindigul, Udhayanidhi's car was checked by the static surveillance team at the Kalvarpatti checkpost near Vedasandur, and when he was on his way to Madurai from Dindigul, election flying squad officials inspected his vehicle at the Kodai Road tollgate.
