Two brothers held with MDMA worth 42.3L
Mangaluru: Bantwal Rural police Saturday arrested two brothers and seized MDMA worth Rs 42.3 lakh in Manchi village.The accused were identified as Mohammed Nizamuddin, 30, and Mohammed Shaheem, 19, residents of Bolanthoor in Bantwal.Police intercepted a vehicle near Panjala Cross and recovered 423 g MDMA. Three mobile phones and the vehicle were also seized, taking the total value of confiscated items to Rs 46.2 lakh.The accused told police the narcotic substance was procured from an unidentified Nigerian national in Bengaluru. A case has been registered at Bantwal Rural police station under sections 8(C) read with 20(b)(ii)(C) of the NDPS Act. Further investigation is on.
