Bijnor: A 30-year-old woman doctor in Bijnor district has accused a local BJP functionary of allegedly drugging her, recording obscene videos and photographs, and later blackmailing and sexually exploiting her. The accused, however, has denied the allegations, claiming he neither recorded any video nor blackmailed her.
As per the complaint, the accused came in contact with the doctor after the death of her husband around 10 months ago and gradually began visiting her clinic frequently. The woman alleged that during one such visit, he mixed an intoxicating substance in her food, after which she lost consciousness. She claimed the accused then recorded objectionable videos and photographs and later used them to threaten and harass her.
The doctor further alleged that the accused repeatedly demanded money and exploited her emotionally and physically over a prolonged period by threatening to circulate the purported videos and photographs. She later informed her family members and approached police seeking legal action and security protection.
“I fear for my life; therefore, I request that security be provided to me so that I can take care of and raise my children,” the woman said.
Police said a case has been registered under sections 123, 308(2), 351(3), and 75(2) of the BNS, and an investigation is underway.
Bijnor SP Abhishek Jha said statements were being recorded and evidence was being examined. Sources said the BJP has constituted a three-member committee to probe the allegations and expelled the accused from the party.
